What the trials actually support for stress and worry
This supports everyday stress and worry. It is not a treatment for an anxiety disorder and does not replace therapy or a prescribed medicine. Ashwagandha has caused liver injury in some people and has a documented interaction with SSRIs: tell your prescriber before starting it. Vitamin D and magnesium are the weakest items here and are labelled as such.

Ashwagandha has the most direct evidence: a systematic review and meta-analysis of randomised controlled trials examined anxiety and stress outcomes (PMID 36017529), with a second meta-analysis reaching compatible conclusions (PMID 39348746). L-theanine reduced stress responses in a randomised trial (PMID 16930802) and has a systematic review of stress and anxiety outcomes (PMID 31758301). Silexan, a standardised lavender oil preparation, has clinical data reviewed in anxiety disorders (PMID 28511598), and lavender overall has a systematic review and meta-analysis for anxiety (PMID 31655395). Omega-3 has a systematic review and meta-analysis of randomised trials for anxiety and depression in adults (PMID 37028202). The magnesium evidence is weaker than its popularity suggests: the systematic review most often cited for it flags poor study quality in its own results (PMID 28445426). Vitamin D for anxiety specifically is the weakest item here, and the meta-analytic evidence is largely about depression rather than anxiety (PMID 39552387).
Ashwagandha trials typically run six to eight weeks. If you take an SSRI and started ashwagandha, this is the point to have told your prescriber, not later.
Silexan and ashwagandha are the two items here with direct trial evidence. If neither has changed anything by a month, that matters more than adding a seventh item.
This is the length of the trials behind this plan. Persistent worry that stops you doing ordinary things is a reason to see a clinician, and no supplement here changes that.
